Books
The easiest way to get my drawings into your hand and your home are by buying one of my books. The books are full of detailed drawings, and fulfil as a secondary function of catalogues for those interested in limited edition variants or originals.
Limited Edition Variants
A Limited Edition Variant is a print of the original artwork enhanced by additional details added by hand, making each Variant unique. A maximum of 17 Variants are made of each artwork, with two of these being reserved for the artist and the buyer of the original, leaving 15 for sale.
Limited Edition Variants have several advantages over Originals.Â
Paper quality
Most of the original drawings are on on standard drawing book paper that provides the optimal response to the marks made by the artist. But this paper that doesn’t have much character, whereas the Variants are printed on off-white Hahnemuhle etching paper, a well-respected high quality archival paper designed for a long lifespan. Originals
Buying an original doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting a ‘better’ artwork, since each variant is unique anyway—it depends on the artwork itself. (See the advantages of Limited Edition Variants.)
The advantage of buying the original drawing is that you get the most delicate, nuanced detail. A Limited Edition Variant of the same artwork is included in the price.
